what a day!

saturday, april 30 was a magical day.  

over seventy of fannie's family and friends gathered together with one common purpose -- 

to kick mito in the fannie!  

and boy did we ever!  

none of it would have been possible, however, without the support of hundreds of other folks who donated... people far and wide - some of whom did not even know fannie ... 

but were just drawn in by her story... and her spirit!  

so, to all of you -- a big THANK YOU.

We did it!!!

We had such a great day on Saturday!

Fannie's Fighters had 74 walkers and raised over $16,000!

Fannie's Fighters ~ Donation Update!!

Hello!
Thank you to everyone who has joined Fannie's Fighters in honor of Fannie Bradley and the Hinson family.  Our original goal for fund raising was $5000 and because of you we have met and exceeded that!!  We have increased the goal to $10,000 in order to raise money to kick some MITO FANNIE!  If you are already part of the team then be sure to let your friends and family know that they can make donations to your individual web-page.  Or, anyone can donate to the general team fund using the link below .  Let's see if we can met and exceed our new goal and show the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation that we are serious about finding a cure!!

Dear Friends and Family of Kyle, John, and Fannie Bradley,

Every 30 minutes, a child is born who will develop a mitochondrial disease by age 10.  Each year, 1000 to 4000 children in the United States are born with a mitochondrial disease.   While exact numbers of children and adults suffering from the disease are hard to determine due to so many misdiagnosed cases, it is now known the disease is approaching the frequency of childhood cancers.   Currently there is no cure.

To all of us, Fannie Bradley is the face of mitochondrial disease.  And because of that we HAVE to help find a cure.  On April 30^th the Atlanta Chapter of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation is hosting a walkathon – Energy for Life:  All Aboard for a Cure.  Join us, Fannie’s Fighters…Let’s walk for the cure, let’s show our support for the Hinson family, and let’s kick some MITO FANNIE!
